Jihong Lu is a highly skilled professional who combines technical expertise with strong management capabilities. With nearly a decade of experience working in top semiconductor companies, including Lenovo, Jihong has developed a deep understanding of the technology industry.

As a mother of two, she recognized a gap in the regional education system - Despite the popularity of coding clubs that use computer games to teach children in a fun way, there is a significant gap in the availability of serious computer science clubs. In the region, coding clubs lack the presence of professional developers who possess a thorough understanding of computer science and can offer high-quality instruction to the children, leaving a significant void in the availability of such expertise. Furthermore, these clubs often lack specific goals or curricula, leaving children without a clear path for their learning. While learning to code for fun is a worthy pursuit, it is critical for children to be taught properly and systematically during their formative years, so they can develop their skills at an early age. This is an essential investment in their future, rather than treating it as an after-school club that can be dropped later.

Recognizing the need for a more professional approach to computer science education for children in the region, she made the decision to establish a dedicated school with a clear goal and path for young learners eager to develop their skills in this field.

And thus, CSworks was created to fulfill this vision of providing young learners with a dedicated, professional computer science environment that sets clear goals, offers high-quality instruction, and challenges students to achieve their full potential.

Jihong Lu holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Beijing University of Technology, and also holds a Master's degree in Business Management from Leeds Trinity University.
